Who is Dave?

Dave is a Schnoodle (½ Schnauzer and ½ poodle), was meant to be a small dog but with his love for life he has grown into a medium dog. Born in a litter close to Raglan, there is nothing better to him than a trip the beach to play ball and have a dip in the ocean.

He loves to see the world from up high, so will sit on the edge of the couch and watch people as they pass by the house. Dave knows what he likes and his list of likes continue to grow adapt depending on the day and how he feels. He is extremely intelligent always aware of what is going on, making the most of opportunity when they present (like diving in ponds when we are not looking and coming out super wifty), completing a daily zoom and responding instantly to the word ‘treat’.

When it comes to food he loves it! Though will be selective as to when he wants to eat, how he eats it and what favourite he will eat that day. Well when one of the owners ran restaurants for several years why wouldn’t Dave expect the best food and service in home dinning?

Dave being the fussy schnoodle that he is was causing all sorts of problems for us when it came to meal times. No matter what we tried to feed him, he would take 1 bite and turn up his nose and walk away. This got to the point of where we were literally following him around the house trying to get him to eat.

It became a real concern, as owners we always want what is best for our pooches and not seeing Dave eat had us really worried, even doubting ourselves a bit. So we thought it was time to turn to our hospitality backgrounds and come up with our own food for Dave, sourcing the products and making mixes that would work for Dave and get him back eating again.

There was a bit of research and hard work invested into this, but when we started to see Dave cleaning his bowl and actually sitting down to eat, all the hard work was worth it. To have a happy Dave make us as owners so over the moon.

This got us thinking… If we can make food that a fussy schnoodle will eat, then maybe we can help other owners feed their fussy doggies….

Through Dave’s fussiness, Dave’s Raw Dog Food was created. With the company ethos of delivering flavoursome raw food and Dave’s treats.

 

Dave loves to let us know he always there for us to offer support and shows us every day through what we call ‘one paw of connectivity’. No matter how tired Dave is, he will always have one paw reserved and placed on us (when you nap on the couch you can wake with a paw on your forehead and Dave sleeping above you) – no matter what, he find a way to get a paw to you.  

Like Dave we would like to provide all our beloved furry customers with the same level of connection.
